Paul Kenyon has travelled in almost every African country in the footsteps of dictators. His new book, Dictatorland, tells the incredible stories of these countries and of the insatiable desire for chocolate, oil, diamonds and gold that have encouraged dictators to rule with an iron hand while keeping their people in dire poverty. Paul will be discussing these stories and more as part of Aye Write! festival in Glasgow on Sunday 18th March at 7.30PM.

Someone has taken a baby wipe to the veneer of glossy perfection portrayed during the era of the 'yummy mummy', and now we see the truth in all of its sleep-deprived glory. Because I Said So is a collection of Shari Low’s favourite stories from her hugely popular weekly newspaper column documenting the ups, downs and bio-hazardous laundry baskets of family life.

Shari will be at Aye Write! Festival discussing these stories with Olivia Siegl on Sunday 25th March at 1.15PM.
