To Read Aloud salon at the Sunday Assembly

The Sunday Assembly hosted a wonderful day with Francesco Dimitri on Sunday 18th February, with a talk on the power of words and a To Read Aloud event in the afternoon.

The aim of the Read Aloud movement is to rediscover the joy of reading to another person. Reading aloud was once a leisure activity enjoyed by many adults, but the practice has been lost.  The time has come to rediscover it. This simple yet powerful action connects us with our friends, helps us centre ourselves in the present and lets us focus gently on what matters.

On Sunday 18th a group of willing participants from the Reading arm of the Sunday Assembly gamely joined Francesco Dimitri, author of To Read Aloud, for a wonderful event at Cafe Artigiano.
